Complexity Kills

Much has been written and blogged about Microsoft's Web 2.0 Manifesto in the "Live" e-mails sent by Bill Gates and Microsoft CTO Ray Ozzie (provided by Dave Winer).

I would like to mention here only a side remark in Ray Ozzie's mail:

Complexity kills. It sucks the life out of developers, it makes products difficult to plan, build and test, it introduces security challenges, and it causes end-user and administrator frustration. Moving forward, within all parts of the organization, each of us should ask “What’s different?”, and explore and embrace techniques to reduce complexity.

I am seriously considering to post this statement on the ETSI TISPAN mailing list for contemplation about their IMS spezifications ;-)
